Disassembly / Assembly of Piaggio Porter Windshield Glass
Disassembly (to be carried out in due time)
1 . With a bamboo spatula (or with a slotted screwdriver, etc.) extract the sealing gasket from the body by pressing on the edge.
This operation MUST be performed from inside the passenger compartment.
2. Pull the windshield out by pressing and, Prying from Inside, lift the top of the weather strip at both ends.
Remove the windshield complete with sealing gasket.
Piaggio Porter Windshield Glass Assembly
Installation (to be performed in due time)
1 . Do the following preliminary operations:
- Fix the sealing gasket on the windscreen glass.
- Prepare a work rope « A » As shown in the figure.
- Apply some soapy water on the perimeter of the sealing gasket «B» in order to make it slide more easily.
2 . Assemble the windshield and relative gasket on the frame so that they are positioned correctly in their housing.
Also make sure that the two ends of the wire hang down inside the vehicle.
3 . Pull the wire, still from inside the cab, while a second person, from outside, taps the surface of the windscreen adjacent to the seal with the palms of his hands to ensure that the seal itself is correctly positioned in its housing.
4. To install the windshield, tap it with the palms of your hand.
