Complete Guide To Top Up Cooling System Water
Perform the following steps :
1 - Move the heater control lever to the "hot" position.
2 - Remove the front bezel by pulling the upper part slightly towards you and lifting it upwards
3 - Unscrew the filler cap from the radiator
(we advise you to always have an original piaggio cap )
4 - Lift the driver's side seat and unscrew the engine side refueling cap .
5 - Position the vehicle on the lift.
6 - Obtain a suitable container, unscrew the radiator drain plug and let the coolant flow out. Clean and install the radiator drain plug to the specified torque.
9 - Continue to introduce the coolant from the filler hole of the radiator until it reaches the level of the hole itself. Install the cap on the radiator.
10 - Check that the coolant level in the expansion tank is between the LOW (minimum) and FULL (maximum) marks and top up if necessary.
Start the engine and bring it up to temperature thus putting the cooling circuit into forced circulation and check that there are no leaks. Turn off the engine.
11 - As soon as the engine temperature decreases, unscrew the filler cap of the radiator and check the coolant level. Top up if necessary and install plug .
12 - Check the coolant level in the water tank . Add water until you reach the FULL level (maximum).
