Assembly
1 - Insert the spark plug in its housing with the due inclination and tighten with the special spanner to the prescribed torque. Reposition the spark plug cap.
** New spark plugs must always be fitted with a COLD ENGINE **
Locking torques (N*m)
Spark plug - cylinder head 17 ± 2 Nm
2 - Tighten the coil fixing screw to the specified torque;
Locking torques (N*m)
Ignition coil - tappet cover 10 ± 1 Nm
3 - Connect the electrical connector to the coil , binding it with the relative retaining clip; Position the rail unit in its seat;
4 - Tighten the screw (one of two) fixing the rail unit to the tappet cover to the prescribed torque.
Locking torques (N*m)
Rail support bracket - Long spacer 5.5 ± 1.5 Nm
5 - Tighten the second screw fixing the rail unit to the tappet cover to the specified torque.
Locking torques (N*m)
Rail support bracket - Short spacer 5.5 ± 1.5 Nm
6 - Connect the gas pressure/temperature sensor to the rail unit.
7 - Connect the electrical connectors of the electro-injectors.
8 - Position and close a new cable holder sheath retaining clamp to the rail unit bracket.
9 - Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
